The Turning Gate has been developing plugins for Lightroom's Web module since 2007 and Lightroom 1.0, and is one of the oldest and most active contributors to Lightroom's third-party ecosystem. The Turning Gate's plugins have been recommended in a number of Lightroom books, magazines and websites, including Martin Evening's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2/3/4 Book, Victoria Bampton's Adobe Lightroom - The Missing FAQ series of books, David duChemin's Vision & Voice, Photoshop User Magazine, French magazine Le Monde de la Photo, Piet Van Den Eynde's Lightroom 4 Unmasked, Gene McCullagh's Explore Lightroom 4: A Roadmap for Photographers, Patrick Moll's French-language Travaux Pratiques avec Lightroom 4 pour les photographes: Fonctions avancées and others.
Core Elements 3 represents the latest and greatest renovation to The Turning Gate's popular, long-running suite of Lightroom-based website publishing tools.
The Turning Gate is a passion project turned business, helmed by Matthew Campagna. Matthew is a web-designer with more than a decade of design experience, and a recovering photographic professional. "I've been taking photos most of my life, graduated Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2009, and worked for several years in commercial studio photography before deciding I was happier just doing my own thing," he says. "Through The Turning Gate, I have found a way to reach out to fellow photographers at all levels, to help and enable them to improve their business and broaden their audience." Matthew currently resides in Seoul, South Korea and works full-time on The Turning Gate.
Ben Williams officially joined The Turning Gate in 2011 to develop an integrated shopping cart system for TTG galleries. Ben's primary projects are presently the shopping cart system and the Publish Services plugin, though he helps out all over the place. Ben is a professional web-developer and a longtime photo enthusiast. Ben resides in Melbourne, Australia.
Matt and Ben have been friends for more than 10 years, and their combined experience and interest in web-design/development, photography and Lightroom give them unique perspective and passion for bringing photography to the Web in a meaningful way.
